Home Extensions & Additions
Considering home extensions and additions is an important decision to make, so it is important you talk to an organisation that will provide you with all the initial proper planning and logistics necessary, to achieve what you require.
John R. Dean Constructions will do just that, because they understand the important decision you are about to make when considering home extensions or home additions in Sydney.
Listening to our customers is important but equally as important is our ability and knowledge in design, planning, as well as general building practices to complete the job as expected without problems.
Both interior and exterior designs for homes, duplexes, apartments and town houses should cover all aspects of what the client wants to achieve eg adding on new timber decking, a new garage ,building a new carport, constructing a pergola, renovating your bathroom or laundry and kitchen as well as landscaping, driveway paving & concreting.
Creating a new home interior look and feel can only be matched with work undertaken in the outdoor area around your home resulting in a combination of both external and internal home improvements that are both aesthetically appealing.
The roof area of your home may need replacing, or requires re tiling or installing a new metal roof with the supply and installation of a complete new guttering downpipe system.
Some older style roofs are best being replaced altogether rather than restored and often the customer will need proper advice from our company so all the options and costs can be determined before the job commences.
Metal roofs or terracotta roofing tiles pose 2 of many options when considering roof extensions or roof replacements. Tile re-bedding and re pointing along with roof tile cleaning and re coating are other options when considering roof repairs and or roof maintenance.
There are a variety of guttering systems available for our customers to consider rather than just repair your old guttering and down pipe systems.
Metal fascias are a popular choice when replacing your guttering system and a Hi- front quad gutter or C Square Gutter system are both durable and long lasting as well looking great as a roofing product.
Plastering
Plastering, rendering, painting gyprocking, carpentry and joinery are areas of our expertise that JR Dean Constructions provide within the home improvements market. As painters and decorators we are able to cover both the exterior look and interior section of the home for bathrooms, hallways, ceiling areas within the home as well as stairways. Gyprocking is a lining board that is suitable for both walls and ceilings and is used to prepare surfaces for painting or feature products. Gyrprockiing, plastering and rendering is commonly used when undertaking commercial office or retail fitouts, office renovations, as well as applied during various stages of the home extensions.
The process of external plastering also referred to as Stucco that is composed of lime and cement. A plasterer requires equipment like floats, trowels, hammers and a variety of cement that can be used with colouring agents.
Successive coats of plaster are applied upon the surface, one coat is considered very coarse and looks like cheap plaster work, and is done to buildings that can make do with a plain coat of plaster work to keep away the draught and weather for example the outhouse. Two coats of plaster are done for residential apartments in rooms of lesser importance or then in warehouses. Two coats of plasterwork are often referred to as render used to set in the walls with lath and plaster to set in. A thin coat is then applied that helps setting and then it is brushed or trowelled for a smooth finish.
